Deep Creek Elk

Hey guys. Got a phone call this morning from the DWR informing me that they had a surrendered rifle elk tag for the Deep Creeks. Unfortunately it wasn't for me ( I'm blackballed for raising to much hell over sfw) it was for my wife. I put her in for the draw but she was unsuccessful. Now with such short notice we won't have much time to scout. Just hoping someone who's hunted that unit may be willing to share a little info. I'll be heading out asap to start scouting. Thanks in advance

I hunted the Rez side a few years ago..Long story.September hunt, lots of bulls way up high, near the border. South end of Rez, Rez guy I was with killed a 340 bull, one of 15 that answered my 1st bugle. It was only a 5x5. BH1
