Is the Any Bull rifle hunt as crazy as people say it is? I haven't hunted it with a rifle for over a decade, and I was in south slope area. I've been up hiking and scouting, and have found a few elk, but if it's as packed with hunters as I hear it is, I doubt they'll be around next week!

Any input or pointers would be appreciated.

There will be a pumpkin every place you look.And it will be a race from ridge to ridge.And you had better get your camping spot now.The general elk hunt on the south slope is the biggest chit show in the state.

Yeah it will definitely be a pumpkin patch, but remember you can't kill them on the couch. Find you a camp spot and peg you a spot on the ridge. You just may be in the right place at the right time. Good luck man! ??

The archery hunt was the worst I've seen people every where and the rifle will be just as bad actually worst they are right if you Don't have a camp spot by this weekend good luck people have been leaving there trailers up there in the same spot all year I guess the 16 day rule doesn't apply anymore.

Thanks guys. I was up there yesterday and there were a few camp spots but I doubt they will be left after this weekend. I guess I'll just hike into where I've seen elk and keep my fingers crossed I can run across a bull.?
