Looking to use my points. I have a buddy who suggested unit 6 and said it would be a good and fun hunt looks like I can draw it as last year it took 5.5.... Might do some bow hunting...yet have not pulled back my bow in about four years and might hear a giant pop in my shoulder if if do ( I wouldn't suggest getting older to anytone ;)) but mostly will be looking at as a rifle hunt. Likely I would be looking at mobile truck camping and day hikes of up to five miles... I am 58 now and still in good shape but not 30 anymore.

I will have the whole rifle season to use and live in Denver...

My biggest Bull ever was about 330 and would like the have the possibility to have a chance at something better than that.... but knowing if it ain't happening a much better chance at a 300 ish bull...

Any thoughts are appreciated!!!!

Soccer dude the maps agree with your point but my buddy say there is plenty Seems like mixed reviews on the internet search...

Wyoming is not a state to shoot for a bull over 330 unless you are hunting with a guide during the late season hunts near Cody. It happens, but I wouldn't say a hunter has a reasonable chance of that happening. Not even in the best units in the rest of the state that require max points. The good news is there are plenty of 280-300 class bulls all over Wyoming, even on the general units so pick a unit with the best access and one you can hunt the most over both the bow and rifle seasons.

Thanks Hart I am thinking I'm going to wait....I like the idea of a more open unit sage...some timber but not vast amounts...it would be even cooler if it was fairly close to Colorado.....and I could scout and go lots more...
