Any of you fellas ever fished LOTW? My folks asked me to look for a place where they could do a little walleye fishing and was wondering if anyone knew of any good lodges/guides in northern Minnesota. Looking for a 3-4 day american plan w/ meals and guide where all they have to do is show up and fish for a couple days. Thanks for any input.

Try Nelson's Resort at Crane Lake Minnesota.Have not been there for many years, but the fishing was always outstanding. Granparents used own islands just as you enter the Canadian border(The Narrows) due east of the resort. The Government took the 3 islands with 2 cabins from us back in the early 80's. The great grandparents built the place back in the early part of the last century. I know that Nelson's Resort is still operational. Can get guides out of there also. CDN

One of the local radio stations here in ND does a lot of advertising for them and a number of the talk show hosts frequently take trips there. They have nothing but good things to say - but of course they get paid to say good things - I have no first hand experience though.

We have been staying at Arneson's Resort. Check it out. Great place, with excellent accomodations and superior fishing. Another place you may like is up in the islands. A place you should look at is Oak Island. There are some nice places to fish there. Plus there isn't all the people, and you are more secluded from the elements. Good louck
