See All Sight

Any comments concerning this different type of muzzle loader gun sight? Been thinking about purchasing one and I would like to hear from hunters who have tried them. I am an older hunter and wear bi-focal glasses all the time. Have difficulty seeing the front sight of my Encore .50 clearly (I see 2 or 3 front sights). Black powder season is not that far off and I am seeking advice about the See All. Cow Tag

LAST EDITED ON Jun-19-14 AT 05:52PM (MST)[p]It is doubtful that Colorado will allow them. I just got an email from them and said that they are looking at them and will try and have a decision in July. Here is the reply he sent me regarding the sight and the new federal bullet:

"David, Bob Fisher is my Supervisor, Bob Thompson is the Lead Investigator for Law Enforcement and both are included in this e mail.
I know you're trying to get an answer on this sight and ammo as soon as possible, this will take some time for Law Enforcement and Policy to cover and interpret the regulation for the use of the bullet and the sight and should be concluded sometime in July. My interpretation of this is any magnifying, lens equipped device would not be legal for muzzleloader use, even if it does not help with the hunt or shot, other than open or Iron sights. "

Texas Hunter, thank you for your reply with current cutting edge information. I believe that I will wait until the CDOW makes up its mind concerning the See All. I have a friend that has one on his TC Encore and he likes it and was planning on using it in September during the elk black powder season in Colorado. Appreciate your informative information. I just had one installed on my sons Knight DISC. I was planning on him using it for Co deer this fall. I guess I will wait and see what their decision is before I worry about sighting it in. In my case I mounted it further forward. The mount is screwed in the rear sight holes instead of a scope mount hole. I like the sight picture better out further. I will shoot it and let you know what I think.
