Well since I am entered in the coues contest I need to post my story and pics here and at Coues Whitetail. I found a wonderful spot to put my groundblind during my preseason scouting. It was in a saddle where deer were crossing back and forth. So the day before the season I set my groundblind up hoping for the best. Opening morning came with much anticipation and I climbed into my blind a half hour before shooting light. Well ten minutes after shooting light I spotted three bucks headed my way. One was probably in the 80" range and the other two were of similiar size and a little smaller than the other buck. As they approached the larger buck veered off offering not shot opportunity, while the other two passed in front of me at 30 yards. So I picked out which one I wanted and took the shot. I shot a little high and hit the buck in the spine and knocked him straight down. So I jumped out of my blind and ran up to the deer, not wanting him to get away and to ensure as quick and clean of kill as possible I put two more arrows into him. He isn't the biggest buck in the world and probably wont win any contest, he is big enough for me. He gross scores 62 inches. It was a wonderful, but short hunt and now I can't wait till January. Thanks.

Brian,
Congrats on another archery coues. Thanks for posting the story and pics. Did you have a trail cam on the saddle?

RR,
No didnt use a trail cam on the saddle. I have had problems in this area with bears eating my cameras so I don't put them there anymore. One more thing the score I posted was net not gross. Gross was 64.
