A zone - Anything ?

A zones has been going on for a couple weeks anybody get one yet ? With the temperature being somewhat mild I think quit a few bucks are going to be taken this year . Alot of people with A tags I know have filled them . I decided on two B tags this year . Hope cool weather dominates Sept and Oct . GOOD LUCK on this years hunt .

A friends co-worker got a nice Buck this past Wed. out west of Healdsburg. Was told it was 8" around the left base with 3 eye guards and the right was 7" around the base. It was only 16" wide but 20" tall and heavy. I asked Todd if he took pictures and he said not till he got home. He is down in Texas right now and won't be back till next Tuesday. I will get a copy of the picture and hopefully post it by next weekend.
Had another fellow the other night tell me he heard of a young girl in Booneville that is suppose to have got a 4x5 Buck that is about 22" and with a BOW. Need to call a friend over there and see if he has heard of her and the buck kill.
My hunting friends son, a 14 year old missed two bucks a week ago on their hunting club land out of Healdsburg, both were small "forkies" but it was his first time hunting and I'm sure he had "buck fever". Who wouldn't at 14 years old and first hunt.

3 friends harvested nice bucks in A ZONE in the opener I am waiting for the 8th so I can start my Elk hunt in the marble mt.
then deer hunt X1 zone then back to B zone then UTAH for deer! Work is a little pissed about me taken 6 weeks off! Duck season will be here soon also!

Rackmaster hope your hunts go well especially the elk hunt . Yep looking forward to duck season as well .

Just heard of a MONSTER buck taken near Covelo over the weekend . Should be way up there in B&C . Taken with a bow . I hope to see it this week .

That Covelo buck if it a 4x5 bout 27" wide their some question
about it being a bow and arrow kill! The Black Butte store guy said it had shattered ribs and a 6 " hole cut out of other side!

This buck was taken on a private ranch (PLM )with a bow . We will be stopiing at the Black Butte store in a few weeks for the mandatory junk food , prior to packing in . Finally started using my head . This year we're going in on horses .

Sheepshooter what trail head you using?
We'll be using smokehouse!Used to be at green spring but theirs to many poeple their now for the opener! Still however got to make up our mines.
Was their a picture taken of the deer by the Black Butte store?(thats a real neat photo album they have at the end of the year)
