I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this California Wilderness area is in A-zone or B-zone. Has anyone been up there in July? Lots of hunters? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks,

Jim

LAST EDITED ON May-01-06 AT 02:35AM (MST)[p]Actually, I think it's in both B1 and B2. A small portion of it may be A zone, but most of it is B zone. I hunted one year in the B sone area out of Stonyford, but i've heard some horror stories about that place, mostly in the early part of the season.

definately not B2 zone. Maybe b1 and b3. This area produces book bucks every year! Tough hunting like all blacktail hunting is. Stay in the upper elevations early and then down in the transition range near the mid to end of season in Oct. Lots of brush and rattlesnakes!
