hey there my brother drew a youth modern firearm tag in the skookumchuck unit. i am wondering if you guys have any advice on where to go? we have gone and scouted down johnsen creek road but havent been sucessful in finding a promising area to hunt

It has been a few years since I spent any time down there but the area above bloody run creek is fairly nice. there is (was) some nice open grassy marsh areas.

I am a full time taxidermist so I am home all the time. I may be able to assist you and your brother if you like. Seems like the youth tag was for does only, or any deer? If your after a doe you should have no problem just walking in as was suggested, on the Johnson Creek side. Get a tree farm map from Metzker's maps and go from there.
