I finally caught up with a great buck. He is a very old deer and was just what I was looking for. I passed on several other bucks looking for an old dark horned buck...

Gotta love it when a plan comes together...

That is an awesome buck! Did you kill him out of a stand or on the ground? Congrats to you!

On the ground, he had a couple of does with him and I got between them and him and he eventually came by at 35 yards. He only went about 60 yards....

as dark as that dude's horns are, i bet he spent most of his time in the timber.....
