With the new trust law taking effect soon, I'm curious how many of you guys jumped on getting suppressors either for hunting or just messing around.

LAST EDITED ON May-03-16 AT 11:44PM (MST)[p] I'm not a expert on it, but I will give a quick rundown. As the trust laws are now, my suppressors in my personal trust can be passed down to people I have on my trust after my death. I can add and remove people from my trust, like I don't have kids but have siblings and friends listed on the trust. Even without a trust there is a method so a survivors could still inherit a item, but they have to jump through lots of extra steps.

The new trust laws go in effect early July, want to say the 12 or 14. With the new trust laws a person would have to have fingerprints and photographs for people on the trust. The current trust law doesn't require that. So in a nutshell the current trust rules make it very easy, and the new rules will just require more work and effort.

I started doing the firearm dealer business as a side job a year ago, and also pay additional fees to be able to deal in suppressors and machine guns. Its been absolutely crazy with how much demand there has been, and was just curious how much demand there has been with hunters.

Personally I have no desire to own one, for hunting use or otherwise. Especially given the cost and paperwork hassles. mtmuley
