I have owned 2 Tikka's
Looking for a new 6.5
Wondering how they compare with the Howa's
Not much out there about the Howa's

quite a bit out there about the howas.....they are weatherby vangaurds....

...and the ones that actually say HOWA are very good rifles...

The Tikka lite is on sale at Sportsman right now. I have a buddy that pick one up in 6.5 . A lot of guys really like them and say they are shooting one hole five shot groups.

Howa is a solid rifle. Good adjustable trigger, factory pillar bedding, hogue stock, good selection of aftermarket parts. I wouldn't hesitate to grab one.

Both rifles are outstanding. You already have first hand experience with the Tika, I need say no more!
The Howa 1500 as sold by Legacy Sports International is a great value also and one fine shooter. It is bedded in a Hogue overmolded, pillar bedded stock. Has a very nice trigger for a factory gun and is guaranteed capable of sub one inch 3 shot groups.
As stated above Howa is the producer of the Weatherby Vanguard and has been since the introduction of that line. The Vanguard is built on the 1500 action, with some cosmetic differences.
Both are exceptional rifles for the money spent. It's a win either way you go!
Also, you might check out the Bergara Hunter.
Good luck!
