I had a great time in AK. My girls caught more fish than I did but that's what made it fun. Pretty damn lucky to have a beautiful wife that will catch and touch fish like this.

Steve,
That is the Kenai and those fish were all caught in one afternoon. As for the lifejackets, this old boy wouldn't last 10 minutes in that water without one. Last time I checked ice cubes don't float. I think the water temp was around 42 degrees. BRRRRRRRRR.

A friend of ours has a cabin in Sterling and those fish were caught on the river in front of his dock. We did fish the Russian a couple of days and did just as good but the bears were thick and kept us on the move most of the day. It wasn't a place I felt comfortable taking my younger girls to fish. Too many fisherman and too many bears. We did talk to some other people that did great all along the Kenai in Soldotna.
