I just got back from Alaska and WOW we had a great time...

This trip started a few months back when I seen a post here from someone that had a cabin in AK

after working some things out me and the wife was headed up and
I had a the time of my life my wife also had a great time she shot a 7' black bear with a 21" skull we caught silvers, kings, halibut, sharks, sculpin, cod, crab, shrimp and many other things we dont know what they were but we had a true BALL it was crazy how much fun we had we seen 18 bears lots of blacktail deer whales dolphins eagles and many other wildlife

boy i do miss alaska! spent 4 yrs there. one day i will drive up to prence rupert. jump the ferry to ketchikan spend some time. do some photography see how much things have changed. would like to see some photos. sounds like you guys did good! oakey

i love it!!! thats a good looking black bear. he looks to be in good shape the hair everything. i went up there in 73 spent 4 yrs. all the bears i ran into were small thank god. oakey

Clynt,

We are going to same place same cabin in Sept. Your pictures and excitement have us all fired up to get up there. I have my first trip to Alaska for 2007 (9th overall) to Anchorage to hunt Caribou Aug. 15th. We get back and 2 weeks later head to POW. I've never been to POW so we are really looking forward to it.

Hi Clynt - Glad you had a great time! AK is addictive! I lived here for over 9 years and had to leave and was gone about three and now have been living on Kodiak for 2 1/2 years. The weather sucks at times, but it really is a very special place! Just don't tell anyone, we have too many tourists as it is!
