Recently got back from an Alaska Dall Sheep hunt in the Wrangell Mountains. What an experience!! I got a nice 36 inch ram and then helped the other hunter in camp take a 54 inch moose after he also killed a nice ram. Got tired of never being able to draw a sheep tag so I blew my savings and it was well worth the cost! Now I head out this week to hunt WY elk and deer.

Sorry for not responding back sooner. I left shortly after I made my post to go elk hunting for a few days here in WY and I just got back. (Saw lots of elk but not the one I wanted to take yet. My friend did take a pretty bull with his bow in about the 270 class range.)

I hunted in Alaska's Wrangell-Saint Elias National Preserve with Wrangell Outfitters. We used horses to cover more ground and then hiked up the mountains to the sheep. We saw sheep everyday of the 10 day hunt. It was amazing country with the fall colors constantly changing during my time there. The other hunter in camp got his sheep also and then he wanted to hunt moose for a trophy fee so we did that and harvested a nice bull for him. Saw caribou, grizzlies, wolves the whole deal.

congrats on a successful hunt and thank you for the pictures. That is a nice caribou, too!

Do you have any pictures of the moose the other hunter shot?
