I Drew a Sheep Tag!!!

Just wanted to say that I drew a resident Dall Sheep Tag in the Chugach Range. I'm a 38 year resident of Alaska, but it will be my first sheep hunt. Going to take my 18 Y.O. son along as a sherpa/photographer.

I was a rollercoaster week leading up to the draw. I was travelling in Colorado to look at colleges for my son. Got a fraud notification from Bank of America. Confirmed it was fradulent charge and the card was cancelled. This was the card that I used to apply for UT, NV and NM. I knew I was now screwed in these three state. I was totally bummed out. Then I found out I drew an Alaskan tag on my return flight. A crappy situation turned out o.k. in the end, maybe even for the better as I don't think I could have affored a Lower-48 and Alaska hunt in the same fall.

I never even thought about the down side of using a credit card if it gets lost or stolen and you have to cancel the number there is no way to get it fixed in the draw system, I think I will be applying with money orders or checks from now on. Hope it works out for you good luck and cant wait to see pictures.

Same thing happened to me except I didn't draw a sheep tag.But all I did was get on the sites and edit my payment method to the new card

So how did your hunt go? I had a couple great trips, and can't wait to do it again next year.

Bambistew, great pictures and superb animals. The Sheep looks fantastic; it appears heavy all the way out. Feel free to tell the story behind each animal. Where did you draw the sheep tag? Is the bear yours or your wife's? Either way, you had a superb year.

Take care,
