What's the best waders?

I have a trip planned to go to Alaska to hunt moose and I am getting my gear together. For all of you guys who have been there and done that, in your opinion what is the best set of wader/boot combo or just waders in general that I can get for this application? And maybe where I can get them. I'm just worried about being in the tundra/swampy areas where moose are for 10 days straight and having problems with durability or comfort. Thanks for any responses you may have!

I lived in Alaska for about 6 years and when I and other locals would go moose hunting, we would use the Lacrosse Big Chief hip waders.
Really all you need....unless weight is an issue, then Barneys Sports Chalet sells some very nice overboots (Neos Sourdough) that would suffice. You will most likely be in muskeg bogs, so if you really want to wear your boots for the ankle protection, get some overboots.

Good luck on you hunt and I hope you bag a big Bullwinkle!
Cheers

I wear my Simms breathable waders and wading boots. We hunt near water so several times go above waist deep. 2 trips and still going strong. Too bad I still don't have a moose.

I'd agree with Simms waders plus boots. They are likely a lot lighter weight and roll up pretty tight for hauling than rubber knee highs. Simms are also guaranteed for life. If you have to cross a fairly deep creek, river, or your moose ends up dead in deeper water you may wish you had something longer than knee highs. You are also covered to your elbows hiking through willows and when it rains. It is a lot easier hiking in boots than any type of waders so make sure you have a decent pair of breathable raingear and waterproof boots.

A nice patch kit is good too for those little leaks.
