Some Boot Advice

Are my boots too small?

I have a pair of Lowa Rangers, seem to fit good, well broken in. Went elk hunting on the 1st of Sept. Walked 20 miles the first day, another 20 the second day. All this from the GPS. Continued to hunt another 3.5 days doing about 10 miles a day.

The inside of my right big toe and third toe are still numb. Also had some achilles tendonitis in my left leg.

Is this just a by product of walking A LOT, or is there a boot out there that won't hurt my feet with that kind of walking? I know boots are a real personal fit, but should I be looking for some that fit better, or just deal with the ones I have?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

That is pretty abusive to your wheels. I personally think that is the reason for your pain. Why not buy some binoculars and let them do the walking for you. You will be able to hunt harder/longer. You can't pick up animals as easy when you are moving around. Just my $.02

Ha, I was thinking along the same lines as Tank, though many times you have to cover a lot of ground to find them first.

If you have pressure in spots they may be too small. I can tell you what helped me is to play with the different after mkt insoles and not to buy shoes unless I try them on. Insoles; I have some New Balance I like and a few of the Spenco. I like the red top Spenco [very soft, but maybe too soft for some]their combo one is good and the all gel is excellent[but its heavier than the rest]

If you beat your feet up, that Plantar Fascitis is a long recovery- been there.
