So our NEW Sponsor here on the site is Easton Outfitters. They offer some very nice gear....trekking poles, tents, back packs, day packs, shooting sticks, etc.
Over the next few months I'm going to be borrowing their gear and using it and reporting back on how it works out.

So far, the Hike Carbon 3 Trekking Poles is what I've used. Only once, but more to come. I have used trekking poles for hiking and backpacking for years and have always used aluminum poles. These Hike Carbon 3 Trekking Poles are sweet. They're very lightweight and I was amazed that I felt that much difference between them and my old aluminum sticks.

I also really like the "Rock-Lock" system, which is their patented locking system. Definitely nicer than the twisted locking.

I'll keep the feedback on these poles coming as I use them and I encourage anyone else using them to share your feedback as well.

If anyone is looking to buy a set, visit Easton Outfitters.

Got out the other day and used these trekking poles again. I'm quite impressed with the weight....very light. I like them. I do wish they had the shock absorption though. I like that in other models I've used.
