Olympus Camera Quuestions

Been looking at the Olympus TG-2 iHS camera for a good while.
Now they have the TG-3 model with 16MP instead of 12MP. What are the differances between these tough cameras?
By going to the TG-3 what would I be giving up? Is the lenz the same? Are the features and modes any different?

These units look like a great fit for my needs as a backcountry all weather camera in a crush resistant body. One thing I would like to do is to adapt it to be used with my Swarow 65mm (angled 20x60 eye piece)spotting scope for some digiscoping. Mainly to be used in the point-n-shoot mode with some flexibility to use it low light and some silent video on occation. Would these cameras fill that role well in your opinon?

And from one camera model-to-the-other what's the better unit and why?

Thanks in advance everyone

There were a lot of improvements in the TG3. The sensor, Wifi, Interval shooting and time lapse video to name a few. Along with a more advanced macro and both GPS and E. Compass.

The new camera is better in low light and quicker as well. There are no reasons to get the older version unless it's being dumoed at a very low price and that is an issue. hands down the TG3 is the better option
