Rifle scopes

Leupold is made in Oregon. Also Redfield was bought out by leupold and the redfield revolution is made in Leupold Oregon factory. Redfields are great scopes at a great price.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-18-14 AT 09:54PM (MST)[p]Some of the lower end Minox are assembled here with parts from Germany. The higher end are made in Germany.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-28-14 AT 03:20PM (MST)[p]Nightforce NXS are optically tested and loosely assembled in Japan, shipped to Idaho where they are disassembled, re assembled and bonded, tested mechanically, and shipped out. Their Beast is made in the USA minus the glass.
Leupold are made in Portland minus the glass.

Ijust bought a Leupold VXII New Generation. They look good to me. There are bunch to choose from but I stayed with Leupold.

I just got a Zeiss that was one of the last runs I guess at the US assembly line,German parts. Now made off shore...or in Germany.
They are still available online and in some shops, assembled in USA,German parts/quality.
I replaced an older cheap Leupold, gave it to my happy neighbor.

Got my new Leupold VXII New Generation. Even though they claim they are superior to the older model
VXII ,my eyes cannot tell the difrrence. I have one made in 1996 and one from 2000 and the new one and they all look the same to me.As far as clarity,I think my Nikon Buckmaster is clearer, but for the hunter it is hard to beat Leupold. The VXII is lighter in weight and longer eye relief.

My buddy and I were in Cody, Wyo just 4 days ago and I spotted the HUSKEMAW sign along the street, so we turned around and went back inside to look at them.
We had the Engineer who does the inspecting and assembling and set up for customers talking to us about the scopes.

After about 20 minutes looking at the two models on display stocks to look thru the models, I ask him "are these made in the USA or overseas"? He replied that they are made in Japan by a company that also makes the NIGHTFORCE for the Military users. He felt that the Huskemaw was better. My friend took one outside to look at the hills about a mile away and was amazed at how clear they were even adjusting from from 5x to the 20x on the 50mm Blue Diamond Scope. This scope costs MSRP is $1499.99.
The top of the line is a Tactical 5-30X56 at $2,799.99
I noticed in the brochure that the MOA is .333

He also showed us the Huskemaw 10x42mm Binocular that is only $1,199.99 and it looks clearer that my Swarovski SLC 10x42mm but mine ar 14 years old now, so newer glass I would guess would make the difference, but now sure. Still a hell of a good deal on nice clear optics like these and only weigh 24.6 oz.

Other models in this Blue Diamond Series are 3-12x42 @ 1099.99, the 4-16x42 @ 1299.99 and the one I mentioned above the 5-20x50mm @ 1499.99.

He stated that when you bring the rifle in to be mounted that they have a plce not far out of town to teach you how to use it to shoot out to 1,000 yrds plus.

Kilo, Since I only have a cell phone and therefor not in the book it may have been hard to look up my #. I like to stay under the radar...LOL.

But Wild Sheep Hdqs. has it and it is on the WY Wild Sheep website under the Directors.

Damn, we went in the WS Office that day and not one person came out and ask us anything or if we wanted some info. So we just looked at the mounts and left.
