Tripod/Head Recommendations

I know there are other requests for tripod recommendations on this forum, but they are all over the board with recommendations. What I am looking for is a tripod to accommodate my Vortex Razor HD spotter and perhaps my Vortex Kaibab and my Swarovski 10x50 binos. I recently purchased a Phone Skope to attach to my spotter too. My key considerations in order are:

1. Sturdy and steady when in use.
2. Built to last.
3. Good value.
4. Weight (mostly day hunting with occasional overnight in the backcountry/Wilderness).

I will likely be glassing from the sitting position. I was watching a Mountain Project Q&A video on YouTube, and those guys said Outdoorsman tripods are the only way to go. What do you all think? Thanks for the advice!!!

If money is no problem go with the outdoors. I personally can't afford them so I have Manfrotto tripod and head

Thanks for the advice. I wouldn't say money is not an option. I always look for a good value. I will compare prices. What I don't want is to pay for example, 50% more for a tripod that is only 10% better. What do you like about your Manfrotto? I always thought that was the top of the line in tripods and heads.

I have a carbon fiber tripod with a Monfrotto fluid head and it is great. I hear the Outdoorsman is a great tripod system. But it is really expensive. And that is something you never hear from me.

I have two sets depending on what I am doing. For backpacking, I want a light and compact tripod for a reasonable cost and for glassing from the road, I like a more robust system. I looked at the outdoorsman stuff but I honestly could never justify the price. Like everything with hunting, people seem to throw a higher price tag onto stuff just because it's marketed to people who will pay it. You can go with a cheaper tripod and be just as happy.

With that said, the backpacking unit is a Sirui carbon fiber tripod with a manfrotto 700rc2 head. This weighs very little but is a bit pricey.

For the more robust style, I went with Slik 700DX legs, and a manfrotto MHXPRO-2W head. The legs aren't expensive at all but they are solid, and riding in the truck and pulling them out to glass from the roads means I don't need lightweight anything. My reasoning here is the legs fully extended are almost perfect height without having to raise the extension in the middle very far. Makes it more study the less it is extended. I am 5'10". Holds my Swaro 80mm scope without any issues.

The reason I went with these heads is because they both use the same quick release base plate so I can leave that on my spotting scope and never have to worry about it.

I went with 128RC Manfrotto head because you don't have to use a adapter plate for my 80mm sworoski. I have a carbon for packing and a aluminum tripod for my truck and side by side. I bought my Manfrotto head and carbon fiber tripod for less money than the sportsman tripod.

Looks like Manfrotto is mentioned several times. Must be good stuff. Have any of you ever heard of K&K Outdoors tripods and know anything about them?

Thanks for advice everyone. I think I am going to look into Manfotto heads and use it on my K&K Outdoors tripod for now. I also have a Vortex High Country tripod, and I really like the head design, but everything overall is just to flimsy and unstable. Again, I appreciate your responses. Jeff
