so i just picked up a garmin oregon 550t the other day and i'm extremely happy so far. very simple to use and a ton of features. i guess i never realized what you could as far as mapping these days...uploadong and downloading to/from your device/computer. i just downloaded a free map of idaho that shows all the game units and boundaries. havent quite figured out how to get it to my handheld yet, but i'm sure it wont take long. i believe it can be placed as an overlay on my existing topo map. pretty cool feature. looks like you can utilize google earth to insert your maps to create custom maps as well. this is going to be a fun and handy little unit.
