No More Velvet?

I was mowing clover plots last night and saw four bucks. All of those bucks had lost their velvet and were all singles. I suspect that by the end of the weekend here in Iowa they will almost all be out of velvet and the bachelor groups will be dispersing. My last round of trail camera photos had all bucks still in velvet (three days ago).

About half the bucks or maybe a little more than half in NC are out of velvet now. It was 49 degrees here this morning, starting to feel like hunt'n season :)

I had to look it up - our farms are in the SW corner of unit 7. If I knew how to post pics I would but I am challenged. Where are you hunting?

I've seen several out of velvet here in Ohio. I have even seen them sparring on camera, and starting to scrape, and lick the licking branches.
