South Dakota youth deer

Hi all,.

My daughter did not draw a tag here in NV. Because of her birthday being where it is, I could not put her in for the youth tag here this year. She will be 12 on September 4th. I only have some time off in September and December due to scheduling, staffing and training issues. I don't want to travel in December.

I am about to buy the license for South Dakota, but I have a couple questions that I need to get some details on to make sure my plan is not out of whack.

Looking at the South West portion of the state as we are going to see a few sights as well.

Maybe looking at trying to find some private property that we could hunt as well.

I have been in the area several times, so I kind of have an idea, but need a few questions answered.

Any help would be great!

Get the DFG walkin map of private lands that you can hunt on.
NW corner is a good area to draw a tag.
