I really wanted to attend the Glenwood Spring financial meeting but I was unable too due to work.

Anyone have a readers digest summary they can share?

Also what was the predator stuff?

Summary?

CPW held 18 public meetings across the state this fall to discuss their financial situation and a possible resident fee increase. Over 85% of people who attended meetings (266) and filled out a comment card (35% of attendees) supported a fee increase.

CPW administered an online random survey to 3,000 resident sportsmen. About 53% voiced support for a fee increase.

Another 2,500 people submitted online comments. About 49% supported increasing hunting license fees and 47% supported increasing fishing license fees.

The Governor's office has given approval for CPW to run a fee increase bill in 2017. The bill will be drafted in December. Details still unknown.

Thanks. It seems like what I expected. I saw on the agenda that they were doing something about predator control? It seemed a like an after thought and was wondering what exactly they hit on there...

Just an update on the two proposed predator studies that will be considered and voted on next week by the Commission in Ft Collins. Emails to the Commission in opposition far outweigh those in support. Staff is hoping that sportsmen make a good showing at the meeting next week.
