Hello Everyone here on the Colorado Forum,

My son and I are planning on applying for the first time as non-resident hunters for the units I listed in my subject. I have searched in the archives on this website for any information pertaining to these units and how the hunting is whether its good or bad, but didn't find much on these units. So I am asking if any of you have any information on these units? I would greatly appreciate it if you all would share it with me. I'm not asking for honey holes or your top secret classified areas, just as to your experiences there and if there are a good number of deer to see out there. Again, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Those units are almost all private and leased by outfitters unless you have permission or are going guided I would look elsewhere

Not many if any deer there pretty much just antelope. Most of the deer are in the canyons and pinon country on private. There are much better units to hunt deer in Colorado that don't take any points

As stated, if you're not outfitted or have access, don't hunt the grasslands.
Great deer but all on private.

I just bought the Onyx Hunt Maps Mobile Map for Colorado and I see what you guys are talking about. I am mainly looking now to put in for a hunt along the NM/CO border as I live here in the Northern New Mexico area. How do those hunts fair? Do you need preference points for those areas?

Check out TopRut.com That might help. I've been studying it also. I'm a NR and haven't determined which units to apply for, but the TR site has a lot of info on draw odds.
