Pretty certain I got this tag in the bag. Did not know I would draw a NM archery tag also, but, glad to have them both.
Son and I are planning a scouting trip there this summer and try to sneak some fishing in as well up in some high lakes or creeks. Prefer spinning tackle.
Open to any ideas or suggestions for Elk or trout in that unit. It will be a DIY hunt, either day hikes or spike back packing in for a few days at a time.
Also, if any motels or cabins available, do not mind getting up early and hiking in a few miles even if I have to drive an hour or so. If that is an option love to hear it.
Got a couple of NatGeo maps for much of the area already ordered.
I am always willing to help on hunts that I am familiar with especially in NM.
