Wondering if the backdoor method is still working in Colorado? Point creep got me for Wyoming elk so I'm on to plan B. I should draw Colorado deer. However, if I don't I'm hoping I will find out by May 31st so I can then apply for Wyoming deer and or antelope. Thanks for any help!

The "Back.Door Method"....who knows. They just did a total system revamp and we'll see.
But, the method, at best, will only let you know a week or so in advance of the draw being formally announced.

Now, instead of refreshing the back door 10 times a day. We'll be doing it to our bank account.

I'm betting the credit card hits will be even earlier then the back door method was.

I am sure many of you are doing this already but my wife and I have our credit cards set up to send us a text soon as a charge is made. It is instantaneous. At most retail stores, I get the text before the receipt spits out of the machine.

You can set it up to get a notification any time a charge exceeds whatever amount you choose. The advantage is twofold - if someone steals your card #, you see the charges as soon as they are made and if you are waiting for a certain charge such as a hunting license, you don't have to keep checking to see if your card got hit.

The new system was in place for spring turkeys so everyone should be able to know the answer to that question very soon.

I got an email today saying SUCCESSFUL. But it also said they couldn't charge my card. I waited on the phone for awhile the checked my card which shows a $21 charge.

Anybody else get an email saying you're successful?

I think it's a bug on their end. My card is the same one they used and still good and others are getting the same bogus email. Ken

I got an email:
Dear Valued Customer,

You may have received an email today stating that we were unable to charge your credit card on file for a recent purchase.

We apologize, but this was sent in error. You will receive another email later today confirming your transaction is in good standing and that payment has been applied.

So do you think we're paying some dumbass to send these emails out or are they computer-generated?

My card got hit for a turkey tag yesterday and today I got an informative and easy to understand email saying I didn't draw the limited tag, received a pref point and did get charged for the statewide general tag.

I didn't see any backdoor information before the email. The active products and preference points hadn't been updated while I was trying to figure out if I had drawn. I saw the credit card charge at the same time. The credit card charge may have been first but not by much. Ken

I saw the charge pending last night on my card and got an email at 10 this morning that I got a point and charged for an otc turkey tag. So maybe a 12hr backdoor this year?

12 hours is about right. pending charge yesterday afternoon. Website didn't have draw results until this morning and received email this morning
