My name is Dylan I am 12 years old. I was drawn for a Unit 42 youth mule deer tag. This will be my first buck tag. I was lucky enough to get a Kaibab doe last year and a javelin this spring. I live in Surprise, AZ so I am very close to my unit. My dad and grandpa will be on this hunt with me. We will probably be at the youth camp that is put on by the game and fish and AZ Mule Deer Foundation. My question is. Is it too early to start scouting with is being so hot here in the desert? I have never hunted this unit before but have heard it can be a challenge. I would like some input on where to start scouting and when. Thank you for your time any help will be appreciated.
