Unit 17 Fire

Headed up this weekend to Unit 17 to scout for my deer hunt. Anyone seen how the burn area is looking? Mostly thinking about the P&J areas between the flats and the steeps. Did it burn the area out? Is there growth coming back?

Thanks for any help you can give. I know the area, just hoping to hear good news about the burn areas.

It was mostly in the steeps along the east side of the San Mateos from where I scoped at Withington. I didn't get boots on the ground, though, down low. It really did look pretty patchy, meaning there were areas untouched; little islands of green trees.
