OTC Ibex?

Is it worth the money to try OTC for Ibex? I haven't been in the area long, but I also haven't heard anyone say you should just get an OTC tag for these.

But for the new guy...The way to find the answer to this type of question is to read through the harvest reports published annually by NMGF. Here's where they are stashed:

In 2015 the IBX-1-528 hunt (OTC off-mountain any legal weapon) had 22 licenses sold, 91% of the hunts were reported, for an average of 6.3 days per hunt, 0 males and 1 female taken, and a whopping 2.8/5 satisfaction rating. 2014 was better with 5 males taken on 21 licenses but still a pretty low satisfaction rating.

The January bow hunt (I've heard this called the most difficult hunt in the US) generally has a higher harvest rate and higher satisfaction rating.

So for about 20 people per year, that is worth $103. You?

Thank you though, I thought maybe because the percent of success was so low and the fact that they aren't all that many in that huntable area that they would make drop the NR price just to try and sell some permits

I wouldn't even consider this tag unless I found an area holding them in an OTC area first.
