Searched here and did not find much information, but Googling wild hogs in New Mexico suggests they are a problem over in the Pecos and Canadian basins. I won't qualify for a New Mexico resident hunting license until about New Years, and was thinking that putting some wild pork in the freezer would be a great way to get my feet wet hunting in the Southwest.
I see the state fish and wildlife folks are doing their best to discourage any kind of commercial activity related to wild hogs in order to keep them classified as nuisance animals. That said, does anyone know of hunting opportunities? I can pay to hunt hogs in west Texas, but the closer to home the better.
