I seen this on a post on Facebook so it most be true!!!
If you asked for a refund of your general game license if unsuccessful in the draw, try and buy one online. If it says that it conflicts with an existing purchase, you probably drew a tag.

I purchased a combo license and selected no for the refund thinking it would refund my fishing license also. I did get the conflicting message but I'm gonna just have to wait and see. Any day now I guess.
 
No conflicting message for me. It allowed me to put it in my cart and get to choice of payment.
 
I hope it's true because it means my nephew and I both drew oryx tags... but I'm skeptical. No sleep for me anytime soon:)

Wont let me buy one but will let my nephew. This just might mean I drew SOMETHING right? Just dont know specific species?
 
Question: How do you know if you opted for a refund? If you didn't opt for a refund, where does that money go if you are unsuccessful? This was my first time applying to NM.

I tried buying a OTC license and it said conflicting.....

You can click on your purchases, then click on the license receipt above your hunts. It will open your license receipt. It should say refund Yes/No depending on what you indicated.

The money may go to the department but that I am unsure of.
 
Does seem like a lot of successfuls just from this site. Maybe just a random fluke. Or they're doing it and laughing at us right now. But mines not letting me buy one so I'm gonna dream that I drew something until results are out!

Oh i had not cleared cart from the first time i tried! Make sure your cart is clear before you add. Its allowing me now.
 
IF u applied for a hunting license refund.
IF your cart is empty.
IF you can buy a general hunting license right now......You DID NOT draw
IF u cannot buy a hunting license u DID draw.
 
LAST EDITED ON Apr-18-18 AT 03:39AM (MST)[p]I checked 9 guys that I applied for everyday. Last night is the first day it changed and 2 of the 9 cannot buy one. Pretty standard 100% indicator in NM. Draw results most likely today or for sure this week.

I requested a refund if unsuccessful. I was able to add a license to my cart and got as far as entering the credit card information without any conflicts so it must work and I must not be hunting anything in NM this fall. Good luck to those who are!
 
I'm thinking it only works for applicants who asked for a refund. I already bought a turkey license and that required a General game license and stamps . So I'll wait for the results to come out.

Couple guys on rokslide saying they were able to place a license into their cart.

Hopefully today is the day.
 
I just tried and was able to purchase a license. Swing and a miss. on to the next one. good luck this fall to the successful ones.

I remember two years ago we could call in at 8 and ask.
I am betting they will stick to their 10AM release whatever day it is.
 
Oh boy, it appears I may have struck out but checked my dad's and he can't add a license. We threw up a bunch of home run, long draw options, so here's to hoping!!! I'd much rather him draw a tag than me, he's got limited years left in the tank for some of the tougher country hunts we're chasing. Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
 
I checked this for three people. It appears I am the only one that will draw a tag. We had a joint application for antelope so I know I did not draw antelope. The other two were able to buy the $65 license.

The 'worst' tags remaining for me are 2B January archery MD and BHO Oryx on RC. If those are the worst I can do :)

I hope it is an elk tag but I will take what I can get.
 
now the question is when will we get our refund? At least I can look forward to something, although I'd rather a tag.
 
Mine says I can't buy a license.

I was 40% draw odds on my deer hunt, the rest were moon shots.

Hate to throw a monkey wrench into the mix but my brother and I are on the same app, he gets a conflict message, I do not.

But.... I also put in for elk with someone else, just to muddy the waters even still..

Did your brother put in for other species besides the app you are on together?

Looks like no draw for me this year. :(

15 years putting in for every species, most of my 3rd choices will have 3-10% draw odds (except sheep). 1 elk tag has been my only draw in 15 years.

Hence, I am a fan of points, as then I know I will draw sometime. Love that in New Mexico I think I have a chance, but man, we have some rotten luck. My brother has put in (not as a group) all those years and has never drawn a tag. So nice to have a chance, but now we are drawing some good tags in other states.

I don't think they should change to points, It is nice to have variety and have a chance. Just wish I drew a great tag every year!!

No he didn't not..

This is the exact message I get when I tried to buy a hunting license.
