I drew the 101 deer tag rifle last two weeks of October just seeing if anybody knew how the unit was doing since the bad winter and also wondering if it makes a difference between going on the first week or going on the second week thanks Mike

Winter didn't hit too bad there, not much loss... definitely the 2nd week as in that area bucks will begin rutting the last week of October in that country..
Good luck look where you wouldn't think a deer lives and you might just find a giant...

Good news.. I was thinking about taking both weeks off but probably should just take the last week off so I won't get antsy and pull the trigger too early. This will be my first time in the area I've hunted around Rollins unit 61 for antelope so I'm guessing it's the same type of terrain?

So how did the hunt go? Hunted elk there curious how the deer hunting might be, did not see many while chasing elk.

elkmo41, I have a feeling you'll never here from the OP for an update... That's usually how it goes...
