Wyoming Goats 2019

Well its seems like I am always a year behind when it comes to apply for goats. I was talking to a friend of a friend and it looks like we are going to share points next year. It will help me out a little and he just wants to use his points and hunt. We will be going in with a 8.5 average and want to hunt. Looks like there are a couple units in the 60's that we could pull and possibly 67 if we are lucky. If we go the route of the 70's then we should draw no problem and be hunting next year. Three questions as I like to plan as far as head as possible
1. Would you try and get a 63/65 tag or just stick to a 70's unit
2. Is 67 that much better and worth the risk of not being drawn
3. Hunting for a big buck would you just go the 1st weekend plus a few days and deal with the hunters or wait for the second weekend and give it a full week of hunting. Not sure how many of the bigger bucks are killed during opening weekend.

Thanks

I've hunted 67 3 times. Last time was 3 years ago. its a really fun hunt but it isn't what it once was in terms of quantity or quality. There's always a bruiser or 2 but I've always felt trophy quality there was over rated. I'll be applying for the 70's in the future.

Having done both there are advantages and disadvantages. Its nice to have the place to yourself later in the season. However, most of the top end buck are shot by then.

I am torn between trying to locate a big goat early before anyone else and just waiting a couple weeks to have the area to ourselves.
Probably wont get another tag for another 5 plus years so really trying to make the most of it and get a 78-82ish type goat.

Thanks
