LAST EDITED ON Oct-22-18 AT 02:42PM (MST)[p]Making plans for an antelope hunt next year in Area 84 near Dubois. Have done weeks of map work and will be heading over in the Spring to scout.

Has anyone hunted goats in this unit? This area has everything from badlands to high country and I'm just trying to narrow down my scouting a bit. Seeing some terrain up around 8k that looks interesting. Also wondering how many antelope use the drier southern portion of the unit. I actually "hunt" antelope and am looking for areas that I can hoof it away from the road hunters.

Thanks!

As it gets later in the season, they start bunching up just north of the East Fork in all that rolling open country. Can usually find a half dozen herds with some pretty decent bucks. Lots will be in Horse Creek in Nov., so just have to hunt them up before they get down into the private

Thank you. Can I assume from your post that some antelope may actually be North of the East Fork earlier in the season?

My plan is to start hunting a few days after the antelope opener, but before deer opens.
