Anyone ever chase critters in the Rattlesnake Wilderness? North end primarily. Just shopping around for a place to start if I dont draw the breaks.

thanks,

Chased pygmy horneytoads there once, they are extremely difficult to catch.

From the info I learned through guys that have hunted it, it's tough. Having stock or a few really good friends will come in handy with a critter down. NONYA, If you insist on using me in your sig line, at least get the use of the ******** letters correct. mtmuley NOT MTMuley

I like it the way it is,you can spell your sig line any way you want! You really shouldnt use language like that in a family oriented forum.

It gets tons of recreational pressure, especially from the Missoula trailheads. I wouldn't really worry about hunting until you're at least 5 miles from the trailhead.

It's really rough country, and I've always heard of big bulls being taken out of the really nasty areas that are hard to get in to. I watch those elk on the winter range a lot, and there's always some nice bulls.

I'm assuming you'd be using horses?

Nonya - thanks for the info.

Mike - thanks for the info. Yes, I'd be using horses. Probably two old, out of shape, calm ones for our tremendous riding abilities.

Thanks,

Edpre
