Thanks guys!
I am planning on at least taking three weeks for the hunt. I was thinking a week in August, week in Sept/Oct and then a week in November. Any pointers on best time of year to focus?

Ryno,forget August,it's to hot,and they will be brushed up. I live in Idaho,and i drew in 07,and my two friends in 08. I shot mine Oct.2nd,and they killed there's around the 30th. of Sept. The key is to hunt them during the rut,and they rut the same time as Elk. It is a lot of fun,and you will have a great time, good luck!
