Night Hunting

I went night hunting with a buddy not too long ago and really enjoyed it so I'm thinkin bout picking it up and getting some equipment. Any advice on night vision scopes? I know the scopes can run up to insane prices but I found this ATN night vision rifle scope for $400. Its gotten some good reviews for the price, but wanted to see what your thoughts are?

My friend in MT has one and LOVES it! We used it one night while archery hunting there this last October and boy oh boy its makes a big difference! If you got the $$$ another friend has generation 4 ($3-5K) and talk about night time looking like day! But most of us "normies" can't afford that crap...

Is it legal to hunt varmits at night in Oregon? hmmmm
