Many thanks to all those that helped on my Ca Antelope hunt. Joey,Eel,and
Paul the info you gave me was spot on. To re-cap my hunt I left Livermore
Thursday morning got to Alturas checked into my Motel and went to check
out the first spot. We spotted goats right away in the flats and looked them
over and saw a couple of small bucks. We continued to glass and then decided
to move a little ways to set up over a water hole for the evening. I ranged the
flat right past the water hole at 365yds,got the sticks in front and my friend
Gary says "Holy Crap" look at em all shoot that buck he's huge!
I pulled down on him and tried to hold steady and touched off, "You missed" !
jacked another shell and shot again, lost sight in the recoil, but he said he"s
hit I saw him kick out his legs. We walked down and found no blood made a bunch
circles and crisscrossed the area and saw his horns sticking out of the sagebrush
starting to get up, I shot again and ended my Ca Antelope on the first evening
of the first day! His horns are 14 5/8,tall,6 5/8 bases,3 5/8 cutters
