Hi everyone,

I have never hunted Coues Deer before and am very interested in hunting these beautiful little deer. It sounds like a great hunt for a fascinating species. I have been unable to draw a good tag in Arizona and New Mexico, so I am looking south of the border.

I was wondering if any of you have experience with a good outfitter in Mexico who provides good trophy quality and a high quality experience. Also, what does a normal Coues deer hunt in Mexico cost?

Thanks in advance for your information. I hope to have pics to show you all of my first Coues deer in the near future!

Thanks,
Steelhead

Talk to Roberto, and check out the web sitehttp://www.aventurasdelnorte.com/ they are good people and have a quality hunt. CM

Check out Ojo Caliente Outfitters, they are spondors here at MM.
I hunted with them last year, a buddy has went 3 years in a row.
Tons of deer, great food, great guides, etc. I would definitely go again if I could!!!

Steelhead,

Once you hunt these little deer you'll be addicted for life!

I've been to Mexico the last three years with www.colablancaoutfitters.com and can't say enough good stuff about the operation that Dan and Ernie run.

If you're interested in heading down with a fellow Monster Muley addict let me know as we're putting a group together for 2007.

Every serious western hunter owes it to themselves to give Coues Deer hunting a try!

Here's a pic of the buck I took this past January with Cola Blanca. Give Dan a call!

I hunted with Cloa Blanca Outfitters also. It was one of the best hunting experiences I've ever had. I took two bucks (90" and 103") and a javelina. I would recomend this hunt to anyone. They made traveling into Mexico with guns (something I was really nervous about) safe and simple. The ranch was so huge it was unbelievable and tons of game. I can't figure out how to up load pics, this is what it says... Any Help?

Thank you everyone for your recommendations. It sounds like Coues Deer hunting is something that I shouldn't put off any longer. I think January of 2007 sounds about right.

Prism,
Do you have any details about the group hunt you are arranging with Cola Blanca Outfitters? That sounds like a good time. By the way, your hunting DVD's are awesome. Keep up the good work.

Thanks,
Steelhead

We went with Kelso in Dec of 05 and had a great time. That guy is all about hunting...no BS...hunt from sun up to sun down, look at lots of country and shot great deer. I hope to do it again some day after checking off some other species from the list. Good luck to you...it is addicting ( or maybe it's just trigger sqeezing in general that is so addicting) www.puschridgeoutfitters.com
