My dad killed a mid 170s class buck in its bed, when the sack of potatoes effect took effect he slid 100 yards and off a cliff. The lower rear portion of the skull is shattered and came apart when we removed the head. Is there a way or form to mount a non split skull cap to a form to create a euro mount? Thanks all for any advice!

If the skull is destroyed beyond repair then the other option is to use a reproduction skull.

Can I mount a skull cap to a reproduction? I'm trying to avoid cutting the antlers off the pedicle.

Yes they make a skull cap reproduction skull. Just cut to the same size , screw on and do a little epoxy work to blend the transition points then paint to match.

I've mounted several sets of damaged antlers to real deer skulls. The results are way better than the repo skulls. PM me if you have any questions.
