To anyone who doesn't think bear is good eating or has struggled to enjoy it, try this...

Take 1 bear backstrap and season with equal parts salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Wrap in thin bacon and use toothpicks to hold it if needed. Season top of bacon with your favorite pork rub.

Heat a smoker to 225 if you have a lot of time or 275 if you need it done a little quicker. Smoke until 165+ degree internal temp is met and remove. Let rest 10 mins or so before slicing thin and serving.
