Shoshone Wilderness Outfitters

Hello,

Had anyone hunted with, or had any experience with Shoshone Wildneress Outfitters in Alaska? Trying to do some research and get some feedback about their operation. Specifically looking at a moose and brown bear hunt with them. I appreciate any feedback or advice.

You realize that Shoshone Wilderness Outfitters is a booking agency, not an actual hunting outfitter?
You wouldn't be hunting with them.

Are you considering the discounted combo hunt that was emailed out this week? (Yes, I get those as well.)
It is a screaming deal for sure. That hunt looks like it is with Westwind Guide Service. (Or they are using Westwind's pictures in their advertising.)
I have no personal experience with this outfit but they have multiple negative hunt reports on The Hunting Report website. The last one was several years ago though.

Just heard of this outfit. Need to further research out of those negative feedback even they were a few years back.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I realize that Shoshone is only a booking agent. I have never dealt with them, or any of their recommended guides/outfitters. Thanks for the information regarding Westwind. Yeah, seems like a screaming deal on that cancellation hunt. As someone else pointed out....almost too good to be true, thus trying to look into it a bit more. Thanks again for the responses all!

If it is owned by John Andre BE AWARE!!!
Back in 2009 when he had Courageous Lake Caribou hunts he SCREWED a lot of people over. I think the 2010 year people lose all their deposits and never got to hunt. HE IS A SLIM BALL!!!
