Leupold custom turret wait time?

I ordered the free custom turret a couple weeks ago any idea how long they typically take? Thanks!

I sent in a non-CDS Leupold scope and had them install the CDS system and also had a custom turret made at the same time. Total round trip was 9 days. Another buddy sent in for his free turret before me and got it a few weeks after me. I have no idea why, but I love Leupold and their products.

Heard their custom engraver was down but should be up and running again soon. A lot of people are waiting for CDS dials they ordered in June.
Best bet is to email them and ask for an update.

I called them the other day about purchasing another turret, and they said at least 8-10 weeks out.....

When I first got my scope I got the free turret and started using it but then I needed one for alaska , colorado, I even needed another one for were I target shoot because its low and hot. turns out the scope came with a moa increment turret and with the ballistic calculater that I use I just change the info needed and only need that one turret for anywhere or any round. I use the bergar calculater but I can also go to gunwerks caculater.

Boy this makes me nervous. I ordered a VX 6 a little over 8 weeks ago. I was told 6-8 weeks out. Still haven't heard anything. I was hoping to get it hear soon work up my load and order up the knob and use it this gal for my moose tag. . Not looking so hot for that. I have an Auodad tag in February maybe it'll just have to be for that! ??

You guys should know better.

Any time someone else or a company is involved and you use the words "ordered, custom, free" you're begging for disappointment and delays unless done a year in advance, to be safe-ish.

This reminds me of the guys who wait until hunting season and want me to help them build a stock or load ammo!! Where were they all summer, golfing? I have one friend, like me, DO IT NOW so it's done in time and then still expect delays.

I'm not laughing with you, I'm laughing at you....or is that supposed to be the other way around??? LOL

Why not just build a ballistic chart and dial with the MOA dial already on your scope? It takes just as much time to dial the MOA needed as it does a yardage turret.

I know I know I'm complaining a bit. I actually started my build back in April. A 28 nos. I said I was hoping for this season. But my heart isn't set on it. If it works out great if not oh well I've got other heat ?

Leupold is not the only one. Burris is terrible at this too, it takes months to get a turret out of them.

I think Zeke is laughing at ME! He put a rifle together for me but we just got the load worked up. Now I have a new Leupold Scope with a turret but I will have to use MOA instead of the CDS dial for my sheep hunt in less than two weeks.

Sometimes timing is the pits. I called Leupold to see if I could rush order a turret and got a very resounding NO reply. The agent told me they take their CDS info in the order it comes in. As of last week he told me they were generally 4 to 6 weeks out.
I have previously ordered dials quickly from Kenton Industries for my Leupold scopes, but my new scope is a VX-5 with zero stop and the Kenton boys don't make them right now.

I don't need it at all - never used one before. I am a bowhunter and rifle is cake most times. I also spent a year trying different ammunition to pick the best bullet for big game (Alaska/Yukon moose) and accuracy. My rifle gets so hot I cant shoot more then 10 or 15 times an hour - I have to wait for it to cool.
