You fence in 560 acres and have the rest open acres.

Not legal to raise deer in Utah and muleys hate being behind a fence and 747 is way small. I bet if you called up looking for a hunt they would say its 5000 acres... lol

Why would this be called hunting? If you need a high fence you probably need GPS tags to find them

You have a point but not all high fence ranches are equal.

But I've seen some "free range hunts" that are as easy or easier than a few elk ranches.

That being said I would personally prefer a cow elk hunt over a 400+ elk Ranch experience.
