Just wondering who all is heading to the DSC show in January. For me, this show is the beginning of planning for next year, and the daydreaming has already begun. (It probably never stopped.)

Bill, I wish I was going but just to much in January and not enough time. DSC, shot show and SCI in 3 out of 4 weeks. Had to pick my battles this year and go to SCI for sure and I hope the Shot Show.

I am very excited to sit down and chat with Amy and David. He was a blast to have there at Kanana and a great judge of trophy quality. Great guy, great time and worth every penny.

How was DSC?
A friend said it was not packed but lots of hunts were booked and the auction hunts sold well and at close or higher than retail price.

It was pretty good. got a picture of my wife with eva shockey and her mother so i called it a success lol.
We booked a double alaska peninsula brown bear hunt. However I told the guide I refused to shoot a brown bear with solids and that my bullet choice wasn't up for discussion via email. He told me that was a very rude comment and that he was canceling my hunt. really wierd guy. so now we are off to sci reno to blouse around next week. Then we are off to the remf banquet in vegas at the end of february. I would like to go to the hunting expo to meet friends but that show is the boring show and biggest waste of time ive ever seen so we will be bypassing that show. Gonna also do sci scotsdale in april and sci in se NM and call it quits.

Auction hunts went very well in Dallas. Whether or not a particular vendor had a good show (sales) or not seemed to vary widely. Quite a few said they booked a lot of hunts, but others didn't fare as well.
