Anyone ever hunt the oak creek unit? People talking it's going to be a great year? Pics or any advice if worth putting in for archery?

Great unit for those who live close or know the unit very well. One of the toughest archery hunts you will ever have. I spend a lot of time out there, and I wouldn't dump to many points on archery still.

The unit was burned a few years back and so there is very little cover. It is steep and nasty country. There are some good deer on the unit but it is not very friendly to the archery hunters. Its usually blistering hot for 3 out of the 4 weeks with very little weather to keep the deer moving. The deer hang on the tops most of the hunt. So if you are in great shape and have a lot of time to hunt you may be successful, but there are better units for archery.
