Hey guys are muke deer rifle tags over the counter in montana. From my research it looks like it pretty much is. I'm trying to rifle hunt for mule deer in 2019. Either western south dakota which I just purchased a point for. South eastern montana or north eastern wyoming. Can you guys help me out a little with these areas. I have not purchased points for montana or Wyoming. Just trying to gather general info on tag availability for a non resident. I'm trying to triple my chances at a tag. That you guys

Buy a point in Wy until Oct 31. Buy one. Some decent units in Wy you can draw wy 1 point in 2019.

Most of the deer in north eastern Wyoming are whitetails and most of the ground up there is private.
Drawing odds start to get worse when you are looking for public hunting.

How is the hunting in south east montana. I can see alot of public land in the south east corner. Does this area get hunted hard. How are the deer numbers ?
